What Life Skills would produce a Great Leader?

That’s the million dollar question!

Soft Skills Training for Students & Teens

Schools are amazing in preparing students with specific and quantifiable knowledge. In order to make global leaders, that’s just not enough.

Hard skills are learned and can be measured by a number. Life Skills and Soft skills are not quantified the same. In fact, you cannot put a number to it, but it’s equally –if not more– important!

CNBC published an article in 2018, advising that top employers such as Google, Apple, and IBM no longer required applicants to have a College Degree.  So what are they expecting? They are seeking candidates with hands-on experience.  With that in mind, degree or no degree, book-smart or not, what do you think makes a candidate stand out in an interview?

Interview Skills and Leadership Development with a life skills coach for age 8 and up

When we talk about Soft Skills, we’re talking about personality, confidence, manners, drive, self-motivation. These are traits that promote an individual because schools and companies are seeking a person with people skills.

These essential Life Skills need to be imparted to every child during the educational period in order to help them navigate through the social world we live in now.

Whether you are seeking for a school or job interview, it is important to demonstrate attributes and behaviors that encourages social decorum as it proves to win friends and peers, school admissions, school masters and work recruiters.

Studies have shown that demonstrating Soft Skills with Hard Skills increases the chances of SUCCESS.

My soft skills coaching style is unique.

I combine coaching techniques with mentoring, life skills and soft skills tools in order to promote a mature thinker. Creating a WHOLE child is my goal. Think of me as an executive coach, doing similar work, only with a younger generation in an academic and social setting.

Young coaching clients and I co-create short and long term GOALS. We also explore avenues such as CAREER paths and PASSIONS, while improving executive functioning skills in management and organizational habits.

I am not a Tutor, Counsellor or a Therapist.

Happy Clients

On behalf of Accounting Students’ Society, HKUSTSU, I want to express our deepest gratitude to Sharon Lippman. Sharon had held a Business Etiquette Workshop for our
members at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Sharon played games with our participants and gave some fabric examples to them in the workshop. These interactions made the whole workshops more interesting, unlike many which included only sharing or speech by the speaker.

Sharon had taught our members the useful and suitable skills in building up a professional image. What our members learnt will greatly help them in their career development. We all enjoyed the workshop very much. The workshop was really interesting and informative. It was our pleasure to have the chance to organize the workshop with Sharon.

Li Kwan Ho, Johnny – External Vice-Chairperson – Accounting Students’ Society, HKUSTSU

I was one of the clients of Sharon in the past year and I would like to extend to my deepest appreciation for her guidance and advice. After a series of lesson, (A) Greetings and Manners & Body Language and Art of Handshake; (B) Interpersonal Skills & Small Talk & Art of Conversation; and (C) Dining Etiquette.

I am so glad that I participate with her lessons and now feel more confidence and better inherently.

Thanks her again and I hope she would continue sharing her abilities to others in coming.

Sharon had given consultation to my son while he was developing his social skills, particularly on handling bulling among classmates. She guided with patience and caring and quickly gained trust from my son.

With her professional consultation, my son was able to regain his confidence in handling social interactions and became a popular person in class.
